DESCRIPTION:The Grist Mill 5K at the Historic Murray's Mill is an off-road course utilized by local high school cross country teams for local meets. This course consists of mostly non-technical trails\, with a few footbridges that cross the surrounding waterways and leads you by the placid pond as it slips over a mill dam\, while the 28' waterwheel of this National Register Historic Site makes its slow way round. \n\nThis event is being hosted by the Historical Association of Catawba County as a fundraiser to help with the upkeep and needed repairs of the gristmill and the site as a whole.
