DESCRIPTION:Habitat for Humanity of Catawba Valley invites you to join them at a groundbreaking on Thursday\, August 29th at 11:30 am for the final phase of the neighborhood - Cottages at Ridgeview.  The event\, being held at 234 1st St SE in Hickory\, is to celebrate the launch of the project that will continue to revitalize the Ridgeview Community.  \n\n\n\nSince 1985\, Habitat for Humanity of Catawba Valley has built 177 new homes for families within our community.  Last year\, 282 volunteers provided 8\,142.5 hours of service\, working alongside our partner families and staff\, to address the current affordable housing crisis facing our community.  Habitat Catawba Valley recently received 217 applications for home ownership.  To meet the growing need\, Habitat Catawba Valley is breaking ground on Phase iii of The Cottages at Ridgeview\, building six new homes.  Once Phase III is completed\, The Cottages at Ridgeview will house 15 families\, providing strength through shelter.
