Over the 6-month duration\, the participants are immersed in community issues and challenges that our organization positions ourselves to directly address in the areas of Reinventing Community\, Telling our Story\, Serving our Community\, Building for Jobs\, Work Force Connectivity and Small Business Entrepreneurship. The program challenges each participant to be an effective and influential leader within our greater community through personal commitment and involvement.\n\n\n\nEach year\, the program pulls together a maximum of 30 people of diverse backgrounds and experiences who have demonstrated leadership potential throughout our community. Each participant will graduate with approximately 16 hours of situational leadership training from a diverse array of community leaders and contracted consultants. Participants will be challenged to organize and execute a group project of their choice that directly addresses a critical issue our county is facing in order to leave a sustainable impact. \n LOCATION:Leadership Catawba is a six-month program\, consisting of one full day and one half day session per month\, starting in August 2016 and concluding in February 2017. The program will kick-off in August with a half day orientation\, reception with Leadership Catawba Alumni\, and concluding with a full day team building retreat at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. The program will conclude with a special Graduation Luncheon at Catawba Country Club where each participant will receive a diploma.
