SUMMARY:Leadership Catawba 2017-2018
DESCRIPTION:Leadership Catawba\, our longest running program has educated and equipped hundreds of Catawba County residents with information about the social\, economic\, and political dynamics of our community. This program challenges each person to be an effective and influential leader within our greater community through personal commitment and involvement.\n\n\n\n Over the 6-month duration\, the participants are immersed in community issues and challenges that our organization positions ourselves to directly address in the areas of:\n\n Reinventing Community\n Telling our Story\n Serving our Community\n Building for Jobs\n Work Force Connectivity\n Small Business and Entrepreneurship\n\nLeadership Catawba 2017/2018 will kick-off in August with a half day orientation and conclude with a full day team building retreat. By February 2018\, each participant graduates with approximately 16 hours of situational leadership training from a diverse array of community leaders and contracted consultants. Additional\, each participant will receive a personal\, full Profile XT Leadership Study and post-analysis (a $250 value)! During the class\, Leadership Catawba students are challenged to organize and execute a group project that directly addresses a critical issue our county is facing in order to leave a sustainable impact. The program concludes with a special Graduation Luncheon at Catawba County Club where each participant will receive a diploma.\n\nYou can download the full details and application here. LOCATION:Leadership Catawba will extend over a six month period beginning with a two day retreat in August. Participants will attend a total of six full day and six half day program sessions from September through February\, with graduation held in March 2018. To graduate\, attendance at all scheduled events is expected\; attendance at the retreat is mandatory. No more than 12 total hours may be missed in order to complete the program and graduate.
