DESCRIPTION:The Catawba County Chamber of Commerce's Governmental Affairs Committee is once again hosting its mid year NC Legislative Wrap-Up/Economic Outlook Luncheon for Wednesday\, August 17th from 11:30 - 1:15 pm at the Crowne Plaza.\n\n	\n\n	Special guest speakers include: \n\n	      Lew Ebert\, President of North Carolina State Chamber\n\n	      Harry M. Davis\, Professor of Banking and Economics\, NC Bankers Association and Finance\, Banks and Insurance Department at Appalachian State University\n\n	\n\n	Local members of our NC General Assembly are also invited to attend along with Congressman Patrick McHenry.\n\n	\n\n	Both Ebert and Davis are back by popular demand as they highlighted our kick-off Legislative Issues and Economic Outlook Breakfast in February.  Even though it's been only 6 months\, the long session in Raleigh this year saw new leadership as they changed the landscape of the past 137 years with historic budgeting and policy decisions that need to be reviewed as to the impact on the business community.  The same goes for our national and world economies and the outlook for business as they try and come out of this economic downturn.\n\n	\n\n	RSVP is required.  The cost is $25/person for members & $40/person for non-members.
