Hart Square Hosts Spring Heritage Festival

Visit Hart Square Village, the nation's largest collection of historic log cabins, as we welcome the coming of Spring! This is an event with demonstrating artists and craftspeople who invite you into their traditional craft or trade and share its history with you.  These demonstrators volunteer their time for visitors to observe the old-timey ways of blacksmithing, basket weaving, old-time music, and other traditional folkways. A central activity in the middle of the historic village will be the popular May Pole dancing and flower crown making. (This is a wonderful Mother's Day activity for the whole family.)  If you are someone who enjoys our Annual Heritage Festival or Christmas in the Village, then you will love this event. It is a smaller-scale version of those "back in time" events with the newness of Spring.
