ECCCM hosts 50th Anniversary Celebration 10-12-2019

You are cordially invited to Eastern Catawba Cooperative Christian Ministry's 50th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, October 12, 2019, 2:00 pm at the ECCCM Ministry Center located at 245 East N Street, Newton NC 28658.

Founded in 1969, ECCCM has provided crisis assistance in Eastern Catawba County to residents in need, providing a hand up, not a hand out.  Throughout these fifty years, our local churches, individuals, businesses and local governments have supported the operations of ECCCM, enabling necessary crisis services to the community without interruption.  

From the day of its founding, Catawba County has been a strong stakeholder, providing infrastructure, maintenance, and secondary supports.  The old nurses building was home for many years and came with a furnace that was a fright.  The County helped ECCCM achieve its goals of a permanent home with the lease of the land presently occupied. 

At this monentous celebration, well-deserved awards and proclamations will be presented to those, or their families, who labored tirelessly to found ECCCM and helped it advance through these years.  Acknowledgements will go to County and City leaders; vendor who support ECCCM operations; agencies that collaborate with ECCCM; past stakeholders, Board of Directors members and staff members.  Refreshments and an open house will follow.
