Catawba County Chamber of Commerce announced earlier its fourth international community trip to discover and explore scenic Ireland. The dates have been changed and will now be departing October 30th on an 8 day journey through Chamber Discoveries. Round trip airfare from Raleigh and six nights at the 5 star Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort located in the picturesque village of Adare, Co. in Shannon, Ireland will cost $1,949 per person double occupancy if you book before May 31st and pay a deposit of $450. Single supplement add $500. There is also a Post-Tour for two extra nights in Dublin, Ireland's majestic capital, including a visit to Trinity College home of the Book of Kells, St. Patrick's Cathedral or O/Connell Street at a cost of $500.
Adare Hotel and Golf resort is set in the heart of an 840 acre estate. Each villa has two, three or four bedrooms with private bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with an American style fridge, down pillows and comforters and beautifully executed plush interiors. The Adare Gold Club championship golf course was commissioned by the Earl of Dunraven in the 1890's.
Highlights of the 8 day journey include 6 nights at the Adare Villas, one dinner at Bunratty Castle (Medieval banquet), breakfast provided daily, visits to the Cliffs of Moher, Rock of Cashel, Kilkenny Castle, Bunratty Folk Park, plus excursions to Dingle Peninsula and Galway. There will be plenty of time to explore shops, cafés and pubs.
The Chamber has sponsored successful trips to China twice and to Tuscany last year. This creates dollars for our business development programming to expand entrepreneurial development in Catawba County.
