Presenter, Ron Pennell, has an extensive 30 year background in Information Technology and is the founder and chief executive of Foothills IT Solutions.  He has held various management, consulting, and technical positions with Fortune 50 companies including The Walt Disney Company, Lockhee-Martin, and Northrop.  Since founding Foothills IT SOlutions, Ron has provided principal consultant and support services for healthcare and commercial businesses in western North Carolina.  These engagements include strategic planning, IT servcies, PM/EMR implementation, disaster recovery and business continuity planning.  His broad experience provides a platform to lectures to other IT providers on successfully growing Health Care Information Technology support practices and providing services the medical community is demanding.  Ron also speaks around the US on Healthcare IT, Patient Portals, HIPPA, HITECH and Meaningful use.
