By using the calculation below, share with us your total Value of Volunteer Time for 2017.  Our goal is to compile a TOTAL VALUE OF VOLUNTEER TIME for Catawba County (in hours and dollars).  This estimate will help acknowledge the thousands of individuals who dedicate their time, talents, and energy to making a difference.  Charitable organizations can use this estimate to quantify the enormous value volunteers provide. 
 
Calculation: Number of volunteers in 2017 x Number of volunteer hours in 2017 x $22.99/hour (per hour volunteer value for North Carolina*) = Total Value of Volunteer Time
 
Example:
Number of volunteers in 2017 =  20 volunteers (best estimate)
Number of volunteer hours in 2017 (best estimate) = 156 hours (3 hours per week x 52 weeks)
 
Complete calculation: 20 volunteers x 156 hours x $22.99/hour = $7,172.88 Total Value of Volunteer Time in 2017
