Ribbon Cutting/The Purple Ribbon Thrift Store 2-28-2014

We are pleased to invite you a ribbon cutting at The Purple Ribbon Thrift Store on Friday, February 28th in celebration of their new look.  The up-fitting of the store, a project performed by Team #2 of the 2014 Leadership Catawba Class, includes landscaping, exterior painting, inside new floor plan design and new furniture company donations. 

The Purple Ribbon Thrift Store is operated by The Family Guidance Center, a non-profit agency, which provides domestic violence services through its First Step Program.  Since 1985, it has been operating a shelter to provide safety and emergency housing for victims and their children.  All proceeds from the store are used to help support the shelter and meet the needs of victims.
