To continue our efforts of attracting the high caliber pool of talent that are our North Carolina Veterans, we are hosting a second Welcome Home Hickory Metro scheduled for the weekend of Friday, April 20 - Saturday, April 21. The goal is simple - to create a pipeline for matching local companies and their great jobs with these transitioning North Carolina-based veterans.
The careers are an important component of the veterans' transition, but quality of life and a sense of community are what will ultimately "sell" the Hickory Metro as the perfect spot for these veterans and their families. In addition to the hiring event where your job descriptions are pre-matched with candidate resumes and interview schedules will be set, we've planned various excursions highlighting some of our community assets of Catawba County. Your thoughtful consideration of this as a long-term investment is appreciated as 100% of these funds will be invested towards the recruitment of transitioning service members by the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce and the Catawba County Economic Development Corporation.
